Meaning
The concept describes an access condition. The payment itself, the method used to settle it, and the resource released afterward remain separate concepts. A payment-gated resource may be used by a human, a software agent, or another machine client.
This record is public but not yet canonical. Its state is explicit so humans and agents can inspect, test, cite, or challenge it without mistaking a candidate for settled language.
Relationships
Version behavior
This candidate record binds the definition, identity, relationship set, and visual association to version 1.0.0-candidate.1. A later correction creates a new version or supersession link. It never silently replaces this historical form.
Machine access
The public API supplies the same identifier, definition, state, relationships, rights, and version in JSON and Markdown. Clients can verify identity and version before using or citing the record.
